Harunah Iddrisu, Minister for
Communication and also Member of Parliament for Tamale South Constituency has
spent GH ¢33,000 on three projects executed at Wamale, Vitting and Lamashegu
communities, all suburbs of Tamale.
The projects funded with his
share of the Member of Parliament’s common fund included GH ¢8,000 Ward
built at the Sheikhinah clinic in Wamale, a 10 seater KVIP toilet facility
worth GH ¢22,000 and a public lighting system for the Lamashegu market valued
at GH ¢3,000.
Mr Harunah through a spokesperson
said the intervention was in line with his development drive to provide his
constituents with desirable infrastructure to improve their living conditions.
The Minister for Communication
appealed to especially the youth of Tamale to eschew all forms of violence and
channel their resources into productive ventures which will benefit the masses.
The Tamale South MP gave the
assurance that similar projects will be extended to the remaining underserved
communities but urged residents of Tamale to pursue good values.
Mr Iddrisu said government was
committed to deliver on its better Ghana agenda and urged Ghanaians to have
patience with the President Mills-led administration.
Awudu Abdul Latif, Assembly
member for Lamashegu North commended the Mr Haruna for honouring his promises
and underscored the need to support the Tamale South MP to alleviate their
plight.
